Bristol Russian Ballet School Summer Intensive is for Vocational/ Non Vocational students.

This Intensive offers vocational level training with ex professional dancers who were trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Vaganova Ballet Academy & Royal Ballet School.

Please note that the teachers of BRBS will place them into specific groups to achieve the maximum benefit for each student and the group as a whole. The decision is based on the student’s ability, suitability for the group, training requirements, and age.  


Once a place has been offered you will receive the confirmation email from us with the payment details. If the course fee is not received in time, the place may be offered to another student.

Our Teachers

Guest Ballet Teacher (Senior Course): Ms.Irina Zavialova   

Former Principal Ballerina  Mariinsky Theatre Russia. Trained at Vaganova Ballet Academy in Russia. Currently Ballet Teacher at Oslo National Academy of The Arts and  International Guest Ballet Teacher. 

Ms.Zavialova was a principal in the Kirov Ballet (Mariinsky Theater), St Petersburg. She then danced as a principal in Staatsoper Ballet Bonn (1995-1997), in Royal Ballet of Flanders (1997-2001) and with Peter Shaufuss Ballet (2001-2004). Irina  been a guest dancer with Tokyo Ballet, Kirov Ballet, Essen Ballet,  

Guest Ballet teacher for Kirov Ballet Academy , Brussels International Ballet School and many others.

Kiril Burlov (Contemporary Teacher) For Senior Course

Kirill Burlov graduating as a ballet dancer from Riga Choreography School in 1996. He continued his passion for dance performing as a soloist with Latvian National Opera House as well as pursuing his academic studies graduating as a Choreographer in 2004 from the Latvian National Academy.  

Kirill moved to the UK in 2005 where he worked with prestigious cultural organisations including the Royal Opera House, Rambert Dance Company, Northern Ballet Theatre, Michael Clark, English National Ballet, Tate Modern and British Museum and several smaller institutions as a performer, choreographer or both.

Guzel Atymtayeva  (Guest teacher)

Former Soloist with with Moscow City Ballet and many other Ballet Companies including Cork City Ballet and Ballet Russe.

Guzel performed in many classical ballet productions such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Nutcracker , La Bayader and more.

Yury Demakov (Principal Bristol Russian Ballet School) 

Trained at Bolshoi Ballet Academy Moscow Russia.

Former Principal Dancer State Academic Ballet Theatre (Leonid Jacobson) St.Petersburg and Cork City Ballet  Ireland.  Former Artistic Director and Principal Dancer for Ballet Russe. 

Guest Ballet teacher for ENBS, Mathew Bourne New Adventure , Russian Icon Gala. 

Choreographer/Ballet Master  Cork City Ballet.

Chika Temma (Principal Bristol Russian Ballet School)

Trained at The Royal Ballet Upper School and Vaganova Ballet Academy St.Petersburg Russia.

Former Principal Dancer for State Academic Ballet Theatre (Leonid Jacobson) St.Petersburg and Cork City Ballet  Ireland.  Former Director and Principal Dancer for Ballet Russe.
